Making make-up last!
Loving your lips!
When buying lipstick, choose a colour that you love and that goes
with everything. You can also choose a tinted lip balm which gives
you a light, subtle colour and can be used day or night.
Magic moisturiser!
Make sure that you moisturise your skin before applying
foundation. It's not only an important part of your skincare regime;
it also helps your foundation go further. You can also mix your
foundation with a tiny bit of moisturiser. This gives a much lighter
coverage (especially for the day) and you will be using half the
amount of moisturiser and foundation.
Lip gloss lessons!
When buying lip gloss, don't fork out for a new colour for
each outfit.
- Apply vaseline with an earbud over your lipstick. This gives
a wet, dewy look.
- Buy a clear lip gloss which you can wear over any lip
colour.
- Choose a neutral lip gloss, like nude, that goes with
everything.
Handy hairspray!
Use a light spritz of hairspray to set your make up so that it won't
smudge off and need re-applying.
Foundation forever!
Here's how to get that last bit of foundation out of your container:
- If your product is in tube form you can snip the top off the tube.
Use an earbud to get the last bits of foundation – you'll be
surprised at how much foundation is still in the tube! Use the
snipped off top as a lid.
- If your foundation is packaged in a bottle, leave it upside down
even when you are not using it. This will bring any leftover
product to the top.
Re-apply no more!
Apply foundation to your eyelids, don't leave them out. This helps
the eye shadow cling to your eyelids and your make will last much
longer than usual.
Keeping it tidy!
Always keep your makeup clean and neatly packed. This will keep
products like mascara from going off or drying out.
Two in one!
Instead of using a face
powder as well as a blusher
(two separate products), you
can use a bronzer. Lightly
dust the bronzer all over
your face with a big powder
brush to set your foundation
and give your skin a healthy
glow. Then use a more
concentrated amount on
your cheek bones, like you
would a blusher.
Lipstick that lasts!
When your lipstick is finished, scrape out the
cont iner using either a lipstick brush or an
earbud. There is plenty left in the bottom part
of the container.
