IMPLEMENTER SELECTION

Selection Process

An organization can apply to become a GOLD Implementing organization by completing the relevant application form and submitting this to GOLD (go to the Apply Here section). GOLD will then evaluate the information in the application form against its regional and site selection criteria. Based on the application screening process, GOLD will either decide to progress with an assessment of the organization or will let the organization know that their application was not successful.

GOLD then conducts assessments of potential implementing organizations. From there, further screening takes place. Successful organisations are invited to attend an orientation workshop. Further screening takes place after this workshop and successful organisations are invited to a four day intensive programme planning training course. A final partnership decision is made by both GOLD and the potential new implementing organisation.

Once GOLD selects an implementing organsiation, a collaboration agreement is drawn up in which agreements are made as to how the new partner organisation will implement peer education in alignment to the GOLD model and how the collaboration will look in the specific context.
