Collaborative Implementing Organisations
GOLD collaborates with community based organizations, called GOLD Implementing Organisations to roll out quality peer education programmes. This is done on an invitation and application basis within strategically identified areas.
GOLD Peer Education is being implemented at varying levels of regional maturation in 3 countries in Southern Africa.
SOUTH AFRICA
The Western Cape - implemented by
12 implementing organisations working in 61 secondary
schools and community sites.
Kwa-Zulu Natal - implemented by 7
implementing organisations working in 26 secondary
schools and community sites.
Mpumalanga - implemented by 4 implementing
organisations working in 17 secondary schools and
community sites.
BOTSWANA
Implemented by 5 implementing organisations working
in 19 secondary schools and community sites.
ZAMBIA
From mid 2009, 5 new implementing organisations will
be rolling out a community based peer education programme
in 15 sites.
